Vacation to Maine - Day 3 (Boston)

We started off the day by heading out to Boston around 7:00am, with the traffic it took us about 2 hours to get there, and Boston was a very pretty city! We stopped at the Aquarium there and spent about 1 1/2 hours. We were both really excited to go, and had high hopes, and while it was fun, we were a little disappointed. Not quite as big or as cool as we had anticipated. And it probably didn't help that it was PACKED and there were tons of kids just running everywhere! We still had a fun time and see the highlights of the trip in the pictures below!

We ventured down the road by foot to a historic downtown area called Faneuil Hall Marketplace. It was a really neat area, and would have loved it if we had been able to do clothes shopping, lots of great stores! We found lunch here, they had a very very long row of food vendors to choose from and we chose a fun panini place. We also saw the Cheers restaurant and stopped at a Christmas store (which are all over the place here by the way!) and picked up an ornament of a lighthouse for our Christmas tree!

We made it back to the hotel in about 1 1/2 hours and while Josh laid down for a nap, Ty and I went for a swim in the hotel pool! We had a blast. He's starting off as such a good swimmer, we worked on kicking and blowing bubbles. So much fun spending that time with him!

Enjoyed a small thunderstorm and then found a restaurant for dinner, and it was very yummy! Now just relaxing, getting ready for bed soon!! :)

What a great idea to get a lighthouse Christmas ornament to hang on your tree every year and remember this special vacation! Good purchase! :)
