Week 34

Diary of Baby Turner (week 34):

I can't wait to hear the news...my new cousin Micaela is going to be born sometime this week!

In the mean time, I'm working hard in here at getting VERY big! I might be around 20 inches tall by now and about 5 lbs. Mama keeps telling daddy about how big I'm getting, so it must be true. It's definitely getting tighter in here. I go to see the doctor this Friday and after that, they told me I get to start going every week, that must mean that it's getting very close to the time for me to come into the world!

For a while I was beginning to question if I was really a boy because my fingernails are getting so long. But I heard that they will cut them as soon as I'm born, and I know I'm definitely a boy because my boy parts are descending this week. So that's right, I'm all boy now!

Mom and dad put more of my nursery together this week. It's looking really good now, my bedding is a safari theme and it's really cool. They said they aren't done quite yet, but they are sure getting close.

Mom and I went to a Michael Buble concert and had a great time! It was much louder than I'm used to though. Her friends even surprised her with gifts before the concert!! Pictures are below.

Can't wait to meet you all in 6 short weeks!

love, your big sack of flour :)

I was surprised at Old Chicago with my friends from Hutton!

They even brought presents!

A cute outfit, diaper genie and crib sheets!

There's Michael!

Week 32 & 33

Diary of Baby Turner (weeks 32 & 33):

I just had the best couple of weeks! I got to see so many family members that I hardly ever get to see. First I got to see Aunt Carlin and Uncle Blake and Cousin Reece in Colorado and hang out with them for a few days. Reece kept saying my daddy's name over and over, my dad must be a pretty cool dude if Reece talks about him all the time! And on the car ride to and from Colorado I heard mom and dad talking about names again. They are down to 2 first names and 2 middle names....I think I know what they are leaning towards though. And it's pretty awesome, just wait Reece, you'll be saying my name over and over in about 7 more weeks!

Then I was surprised with Aunt Lauren and Great Grandma and Grandpa Turner just this last weekend! Uncle David couldn't come but he sent some awesome presents from Guatemala! We had a lot of Turner family fun, with another baby shower for me, Father's Day celebrations and my daddy's birthday!

You should see my nursery, it's really filling up fast, I can't wait to use all my new things! Oh and my mama just told me that some of my safari bedding just came in today...it's gonna be awesome! I wonder which safari animal will be my favorite.

And I can't wait for Cousin Micaela to get here! Less than 2 weeks away!

Mama keeps telling daddy how heavy I'm getting...so I guess I'm growing quite a bit! There's not as much water to swim in as there used to me, so I'm running out of room fast. I'm about 4 1/2 pounds and somewhere from 17-19 inches long! I'm getting more and more baby fat all the time and last week at the doctor, they said I wasn't head down yet, they keep telling me I need to turn head down, I don't know what the big deal is, I'm comfy, isn't that all that matters? We'll see. :) And this week I've been working on my immune system so that I don't get sick after I come out! Oh and last night all the muscles around me got really tight for a while, mama said not to worry, that she thought it was just braxton hicks contractions, but she wasn't sure. She said it was practice for what's going to happen when I come into the world. I don't know if I'm going to like that very much.

Well, only 7 weeks left! See you all soon.

Love,
Big Baby Turner

The beautiful cake that Heather made for me and Baby Turner! She got her inspiration from our baby bedding....it's perfect, and tasted delicious!! Thanks Heather!

The adorable onesies that everyone made for Baby Turner. (2nd from the left is a KSU powercat, but the sticker hadn't been taken off...it's not just a purple blob.:) )

I love giraffes and the Schrock's got us this one, it's so so cute, and even plays music! Again, perfect with our safari bedding!

A coat from Uncle David, brought directly from Guatemala! Isn't it adorable?

Some of the sweet guests who came to help celebrate Baby Turner! Even Aunt Lauren made it from Honduras!

More guests, I was so thankful to have the baby's Great-Grandma Turner there!

Another giraffe!!! I couldn't be happier, hope this little guy is as excited as I am. Grandma Deb got him this!

And a cute tractor sweater vest from Grandma Cathy!

The sweet hostesses, Linda and Heather. Thanks for making this time so special for me!

Week 31

Diary of Baby Turner (week 31):

I don't know if you've seen my mama lately, but I'm getting SO big! I'm over 3 pounds now! This week my brain has really been working hard, making all sorts of connections! And all my senses are working now too! I can do everything but smell right now, can't wait to start smelling soon! Only 9 more weeks...can you believe how soon my birthday is coming?

Now that I'm getting bigger, mama can really feel every roll and movement I make in here. I can't wait to show mama and daddy all the fun faces I can make and how well I can swallow and breathe. I'm getting all sorts of practice in here before my big debut.

This last weekend I had a baby shower, it was so much fun! All these people came just for me, and they all brought presents for me. I got some pretty awesome stuff! Mom and dad spent the weekend cleaning up my room and now it's starting to look like a room! They keep telling me to wait though, and not come yet, they say their not ready yet, so I guess I'll stay in here a little while longer. They still don't even know what they are going to name me yet! Someone please help them!

Can't wait for my cousin Micaela to be born...should be only about 3-4 more weeks! And I have another fun weekend in store with cousin Reece, this weekend, can't wait to hang out with him!

Love you all,
Baby Turner

Week 30

Diary of Baby Turner (week 30!):

First of all, I can tell you, I'm going to LOVE coming out there in the world, just so I can have birthday parties like cousin Reece! We celebrated his 1st birthday this week and had so much fun! He got some awesome presents that I can't wait to play with when we are together and not to mention the cake and ice cream he ate....mama and I got some too and it was yummy! Reece is going to be such a cool cousin, can't wait to start playing with him!

If you could see me inside here, you would see that all this fuzzy hair I had all over my body is disappearing, but don't worry, I'm still my daddy's boy, and I still have plenty of it left! Maybe I'll even have a comb over when I'm born! This week, my brain's been working overtime, and I'm getting smarter and smarter as the days go by. Watch out Grandpa Ron, I might be smarter than you pretty soon!

I'm growing away in here and getting bigger, mama's feeling my movements and kicks even more now. Only 10 more weeks till I get to meet the rest of you! And I can't wait, my other cousin, Micaela, only has about 4 more weeks left to grow inside Aunt Kavia. Can't wait to see her!!!

Love you family.

Week 28 & 29

Diary of Baby Turner (weeks 28 &29):

What a fun week it has been for me and mom and dad! We got to go on a vacation to Kansas City for a couple days last weekend and we watched the Royals beat the CO Rockies....I cheered loud Uncle Blake, aren't you happy? We also went to the zoo and they told me all about all the cool and funny looking animals they saw, I can't wait to go back and see them myself! But it was a blast having our 1st family vacation, I can't wait for all the fun vacations that mom and dad were talking about taking me on! Oh and when we got back from KC, I had a crib waiting for me that Great-Grandma Ginalee got for me! So daddy's been working on getting that put together, he's got the sides together and just needs to make room in my nursery to put the rest of it together. It's an awesome bed though, I can't wait to sleep in it!!

Not only did I get to do lots of fun things this week, but I also have been really growing in here! Mama keeps talking about how big I'm getting and how I'm weighing so much more now--already 3 pounds! It must be all this baby fat that I'm getting! And, as always I still sleep quite a bit during the day, but just lately, I've started dreaming! And I've really been working on my sucking, coughing, breathing and blinking skills as well! I'll be all practiced up and ready to go once August comes! I sure don't want to come before then, I want to make sure I'm completely developed, but if for some reason I should come early, I am far enough along now, that with the doctor's help, I should still be ok! Isn't that exciting? I'm almost all done! I've been moving around a lot more and will stick my knees and elbows up into my mama's tummy. Mom and Dad love it when I do that, they poke around at me all the time! I hope the poking stops after I come out in August. :)

I've only got 11 more weeks to get practiced up on more skills and to develop more and my lungs need to get stronger, so I'd better get back to it! Can't wait to see you this weekend Uncle Blake, Aunt Carlin and Cousin Reece! You are going to LOVE the presents that we got you man! :)

week 27

Diary of Baby Turner (week 27):

This week my mama and daddy took me to my 1st movie in the theater, it was so loud, but I loved it. I think I'm gonna be a movie lover like my daddy. All the loud noises kept startling me, I was moving all around the whole time, but I think mommy liked that. :)

I had a doctor appt this week with my mama too. It went well, the Dr. listened to my heartbeat and measured me and everything looks normal. My heartbeat is now 140 beat per min. Mama had to drink this super sugery orange drink that tasted like orange pop (only much much sweeter). She had to drink it in 5 min. when we first got there and then wait an hour and they did blood tests. Hopefully those come back normal and she doesn't have gestational diabetes. Next appt. is 3 weeks away and after that they move to 2 weeks apart! That means we are getting really close to my birthday!!! Do you have my birthday present yet Grandpa Ron?

Speaking of birthdays...cousin Reece turned 1 year old this week!!! I can't wait to come celebrate with him over Memorial weekend! It's so great having such an older and wiser cousin to learn from. :)

Mom and Dad have been working hard this weekend on trying to get my nursery room all cleaned out and ready to put all my clothes and furniture in! It's been a fun weekend! And next weekend, I can hardly wait....the 3 of us are heading to Kansas City for a Royals game and to just hang out and together as a family! Don't worry Uncle Blake, I know they are playing the CO Rockies and I will cheer loud so that we beat 'em!! GO ROYALS!

It's sure been fun changing positions and sticking parts of my body up into my mommy's tummy so she can feel it....she and daddy sure like poking me, trying to feel me! And all these noises I'm hearing so clearly now...especially my mama and daddy's voices, it's been so fun listening to them! Oh and it was so fun last weekend, getting to celebrate mother's day with my mama! I went garage saling with my mom and both grandma's...they found some great stuff for me! Then I got to see my Great Grandma and Grandpa Buhrman and Great Grandma GinaLee too! It was a great mother's day! Daddy helped me out and got mama a Royals jersey for Mother's day to wear to the big game on Friday!

Well, better let mama get to bed, so I can move all around!

Love, your 2 pound little man!

Week 26

Diary of Baby Turner (week 26):

Amazing! My eyes opened this week....not much to see in here, but it's still so cool! Can't wait for all I'm going to see in 14 more weeks! And it's been so fun to listen to mommy and daddy's voices. At night daddy will get real close to me and talk to me, I try to let them know how much I like hearing him by kicking and punching so they can feel me! That's how I can talk back, at least for now. OH and they told me this week that they finally decided how to decorate my nursery. I guess they found some bedding that's blue and has elephants on it...hmmm, it better be cool! :)

And last night me, my mama and daddy were at Worship Team practice, we've got an awesome Concert of Prayer tonight to kick off the National Day of Prayer and we had a long practice with the worship team last night. It was so fun, I decided I love all that music, especially the drums! Maybe I'll have rhythm like my daddy! Can't wait for tonight, I'll be worshipping the Lord from in here...at least God will see it and hear me! :)

Well, I'd better get to moving all around!

Love, your little drummer boy
